CATH: CATH is a hierarchical classification of protein domain structures, which clusters proteins at four major levels: Class (C), Architecture (A), Topology (T) and Homologous superfamily (H).
CE: Protein structural alignment using combinatorial extension. The reference for the algorithm can be found here.
Dali/FSSP: Protein structural comparisons using the Dali algorithm. References for the technique can be found here (Nucleic Acids Research, 1997, Vol. 25, No. 1) and here (Bioinformatics Vol. 24 No. 23 2008, pages 2780–2781).
SCOP: Structural Classification of Proteins. The reference for the SCOP database is here.
VAST: Vector Alignment Search Tool at NCBI. A description of the tool is found on the website.
