the State of South Carolina to purchase an array of analytical instrumentation.
These instruments will be used in virtually every chemistry elective lab
as well as in a number of research projects. These instruments will
provide students with hands-on experience with modern analytical techniques.
Currents plans are to purchase the follow systems.
-
A GC/Ion Trap MS/MS system with Pulsed FPD, FID, split/splitless injector,
temperature programmable injector, and autosampler. (Installed in
Sep '98)
-
An Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer with autosampler and 2-D array
detection (expected installation of Jan '99)
-
A Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer (expected installation of Oct
