SG SWEP vs Experimental
Deuteron Properties
Once the deuteron wave functions u(x) and w(x) are obtained, they can be used to
calculate the deuteron properties tabulated below.
To obtain the SG SWEP values it was necessary to use a judicious cut-0ff near the origin (at about 0.3 fm). The
experimental value of the binding energy (about 2.2246 Mev) was used
as input. It is more appropriate to numerically solve for the wave functions and obtain the binding energy
as an eigenvalue.
