PREPARING FOR A HURRICANE

Choose on coastal location along the south eastern United States or the US Gulf Coast.� Please research how their preparation for a hurricane.�� You may choose a particular town or city or you may choose a county, but find out what information is provided to residents regarding preparation for a hurricane.� What kind of advise do they give to the residents?� Do they post evacuation routes and, if so, do they seem efficient and reasonable?� How do they deal with residents who are not able to evacuate?� What about pets?�� Do they recommend particular types of insurance?� You will have many of your own questions as well.�

Please write an article for the local/regional newspaper that would assist the residents of the area to be better prepared for any future storms.� This should be 1-2 pages long and obviously should contain lots of facts.
